  BREAKING: IGP Suspends Issuance Of Tinted Glass Permits, Spy Number Plates        The Inspector-General of Police, Usman Baba, on Monday, ordered the immediate  suspension of issuance of police permits to owners of vehicles with tinted glass nationwide. He also directed that the issuance of spy number plates be put on hold. The IGP gave the directives at the Nigeria Police Force headquarters in Abuja. IPOB’s secessionists gathering in Edo, says DIG Deputy Inspector-General of Police (DIG) in charge of Operation Restore Peace in Southsouth geo-political zone, Moses Jitoboh, has disclosed members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) are gathering in Edo State. He revealed the IPOB members were secretly meeting at Igbanke, Ubiaja, Iguelaba, Igueben, Okhiahe and Ologbo in Edo state. Jitoboh spoke in Benin at the launch of operation restore peace in the Southsouth zone. He noted Edo and Bayelsa were enjoying relative peace in Nigeria, while stressing residents must not allow IPOB members to come in and scuttle the peace with secession messages. The DIG asked the residents of the communities where the harbingers were holding their meetings to always report them to the police for urgent attention, pointing out it would be better to nip the IPOB members’ activities in the bud than allowing them to grow beyond control in the state. Just In: Former Edo Commissioner Shot Dead In Jos Gunmen have killed a former Police Commissioner of Edo state, who was also a Senior Special Assistant to Benue Governor Samuel Ortom on Security, AIG Christopher Dega (Rtd) in Jos, Plateau State Capital. Christopher Dega was shot  severally in the chest  by gunmen on Tuesday. The AIG, Dega had a brilliant career in the Nigerian Police Force and was twice Commissioner of Police in Borno and Edo States. He hailed from Katsina Ala local Government area in Benue state .
