Insecurity reigns, as driver is hacked to death over ₦1, 000 revenue in Edo ___By Gidiga Group A yet-to-be identified truck driver has been hacked to death over alleged refusal to pay the sum of N1, 000 ticket slammed on him by touts reportedly employed by the Okpebholo-led government in Edo State. The tragedy spilled last weekend in Ahor Community by-pass, Uhunmwode Local Government Area of Edo State. The daredevil revenue enforcers insisted the driver must pay the sum of ₦1, 000 ticket branded ‘Ahor Community Development Association’, after the now deceased driver initially offered ₦600; the matter degenerated, when the driver refused to pay ₦1, 000 strongly demanded by the agents, leading to a melee and he was eventually hacked with the wheel spanner of his truck. Abandoning him on his death spot, the revenue boys are reported to have absconded after unaliving the driver in cold blood.
