NAF female personnel killed by snakebite inside toilet in Abuja

A Nigerian Air Force female officer identified as Lance Corporal Bercy has died after she got bitten by a poisonous snake when she sat on the toilet seat in her room.

Reports said the snake made its way into her toilet bowl (WC) and bit her on Saturday at her residence at the Airforce Base, Bill Clinton Way, Airport Road, Abuja.

She was rushed to the medical centre, but she didn’t survive and was pronounced dead at the medical centre

The snake is suspected to have found its way into her home through the Septic Tank to the Waste Dislodger.

A snake whisperer was said to have been called after the incident to remove the huge reptile from the toilet.

Efforts to get the NAF authorities to speak on the development has so far proved abortive as even text messages are not responded to.

Shaibu, Edo Deputy Governor resumes work in his new office

The Deputy Governor of Edo State, Philip Shaibu, on Tuesday morning, officially resumed work in his new office at 7, Dennis Osadebey Avenue very close to Edo state government house. This was after noticing that his former office in government house have been locked up by security men attached to government house.  Recall that on Monday, Philip Shaibu claimed that he had not received any official communication for him to relocate to the new office, he also said it was only the civil savants attached to his office that was relocated.  He was seen standing  by the entrance to his former office, which was under lock. He was also seen making a call to an unknown individual, pleading to help him call the governor to know why his former office was locked. Shaibu was also complaining to the unknown individual that he was yet to receive any letter asking him to relocate.
