Edo Deputy Governor, Philip Shaibu train with Super Eagles ahead of the 2021 AFCON qualifier

 


Shaibu joins Super Eagles in training as Edo readies for Nigeria, Sierra Leone AFCON qualifier.


Edo State Deputy Governor, Rt. Hon. Comrade Philip Shaibu on Tuesday joined the Super Eagles to train ahead of the 2021 AFCON qualifier against the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone.


The qualifying game against Sierra Leone will be played on Friday, November 13, 2020 at Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City, which was newly remodeled by the Governor Godwin Obaseki-led administration.


Ahmed Musa, Kelechi Iheanacho, Maduka Okoye, Oghenekaro Etebo and Paul Onuachu are among the Super Eagles players at the training as supporters watched in anticipation of the interesting encounter.



Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr is expecting about 24 players in camp for the game, with many coming in Monday ahead of the first evening training session today at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, which is now connected to 24/7 power supply from the CCETC-Ossiomo Power Plant.
