OREDO LGA CHAIRMAN HON. OSUNDE CELEBRATES THE DELIVERY OF A NEW PRINCESS TO THE BENIN ROYAL FAMILY. 


The Heritage of the His Majesty Will Continue to Flourish and Prosper


The Chairman of Oredo Local Government Area, Hon. Evbareke Jenkins Osunde has sent a message of felicitation to His Royal Majesty, Omo N’Oba N’Edo, Oba Ewuare 11, on the safe delivery of a new Princess to the Benin Palace. 

Hon. Osunde remarked in a statement in Benin  that the’’ entire elected leadership and staff of the Local Government Council celebrate with His Majesty and Her Royal Highness, Queen Owamagbe on the safe delivery of a beautiful baby girl.’’ 

Continuing, the Council Chairman stated that ‘’ the people of Oredo in general enthusiastically share the spirit of celebration in the Palace on the special occasion of the arrival of the new Princess’’ adding that ‘’the historic Monarchy of the Benin Kingdom will continue to flourish and prosper with unfailing good health and pristine ancestral divination.’’  

‘’ It is of particular significance and providential manifestation that the Princess was delivered on 20th October, 2020 on the birthday and the coronation anniversary of the Omo N’Oba ‘’, Hon. Evbareke Jenkins Osunde further observed. 

The LGA Chairman prayed that the’’ Princess will thrive into adulthood as a  legatee in the historic family nourished with the majesty and mystery of the Benin Palace.’’

Shaibu, Edo Deputy Governor resumes work in his new office

The Deputy Governor of Edo State, Philip Shaibu, on Tuesday morning, officially resumed work in his new office at 7, Dennis Osadebey Avenue very close to Edo state government house. This was after noticing that his former office in government house have been locked up by security men attached to government house.  Recall that on Monday, Philip Shaibu claimed that he had not received any official communication for him to relocate to the new office, he also said it was only the civil savants attached to his office that was relocated.  He was seen standing  by the entrance to his former office, which was under lock. He was also seen making a call to an unknown individual, pleading to help him call the governor to know why his former office was locked. Shaibu was also complaining to the unknown individual that he was yet to receive any letter asking him to relocate.
