Gov. Obaseki Will Establish a Legacy of Formidable Economic Foundation 


Hon. Evbareke Jenkins Osunde has expressed the view that Governor Obaseki’s 2nd term will serve as a ‘’period for consolidation of the remarkable gains made in the first four years of the administration and focused  rapid policy implementation for new economic agenda in the years ahead.’’

Hon. Osunde who is the Chairman of Oredo Local Government Council and the Edo State Chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) , remarked in a press statement in Benin-City today, that the Governor’s economic vision was solidly transformational .

Continuing, the Oredo LGA Chairman asserted that the ‘‘ aggregate outcome of the various projects being executed by the Governor would ultimately establish the state as an economic powerhouse in the country.’’ 

Hon. Osunde further remarked that ‘’ from power generating endeavor to agro-industrial structures , from extensive  road infrastructure to the development of maritime potentials and unprecedented investments in scientific and technical education as well as the endowment of an educated workforce ,  Governor Obaseki is set to bequeath an indestructible  legacy of  formidable economic foundation to Edo State.’’

The ALGON Chairman concluded that ‘’ with Governor Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki, the future of Edo State is brighter and the fortunes of the people will be more prosperous.’’

Shaibu, Edo Deputy Governor resumes work in his new office

The Deputy Governor of Edo State, Philip Shaibu, on Tuesday morning, officially resumed work in his new office at 7, Dennis Osadebey Avenue very close to Edo state government house. This was after noticing that his former office in government house have been locked up by security men attached to government house.  Recall that on Monday, Philip Shaibu claimed that he had not received any official communication for him to relocate to the new office, he also said it was only the civil savants attached to his office that was relocated.  He was seen standing  by the entrance to his former office, which was under lock. He was also seen making a call to an unknown individual, pleading to help him call the governor to know why his former office was locked. Shaibu was also complaining to the unknown individual that he was yet to receive any letter asking him to relocate.
