COVID-19_ Corp Member Donates 250 Hand Sanitizers, 250 Facemasks To Ikpoba-Okha Local Government

    Expresses admiration for Osayande's foresight in the fight against COVID-19

A member of the National Youth Service Corps, Pharm. Ojo-Edokpayi Clinton Osamudiamen has donated 250 hand sanitizers and 250 locally-made face masks to the Ikpoba-Okha Local Government

Pharm. Ojo Edokpayi, a 2019 Batch 'B' Stream 1 Youth Corper with code number ED/19B/2380, attached to the Edo Pharmaceuticals Ltd, Benin City, is President of Medical and Health Services Group, a community development service (CDS) which the donor belongs as a member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC)

Introducing the donor, the Local Government Inspector, National Youth Service Corps, Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area, Mrs. Uzebor Lixiana said "Osamudiamen is a son of the soil, a Corp member and will be presenting 250 hand sanitizers, 250 nose masks to the Council"

Lixiana said "he is a Corp member that is passing out tomorrow by the grace of God"

Presenting the items to the representative of the Council Chairman, Osamudiamen said, "the Chairman is doing a great job, aside the great job he is doing that also inspires me, been the President of the MHS group and as Corpers, we live within 12 months of our lives to serve the nation; and as a Pharmacist, my own social responsibility to the citizens of Nigeria, Edo State and Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area in particular is to make sure that health wise, they are covered; that is why I have come today; I produced these hand sanitizers and made the face masks for the people"

Osamudiamen expressed deep appreciation to the Osayande-led administration for its consciousness in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, "Ikpoba-Okha is very conscious" the donor noted

Recieving the items on behalf of the Local Government at the Council Secretariat, Idogbo, Benin City, the Edo State capital on Wednesday, Secretary to Local Government, Barr. Osagie Igbinomwanhia commended the donor for his contribution to the safeguarding of the health of Ikpoba-Okha people

"I am sure this is the climax of your service to humanity, and I pray that God will take you to the greater height"

"And I want to also tell you that the sanitizers and the face masks you have provided for the Council for onward transmission to the people, will do justice" the SLG added

Present during the donation were Leader of the Legislative Arm, Ikpoba-Okha Local Government, Hon. Kingsley Balogban, Head of Local Government Authority, Ikpoba-Okha, Barr. M. Ahonsi, Head of the Department of Agric, Mr. Godwin Odigie, Head of the Department of Works, Ikpoba-Okha, Engr. Boniface Otonibijie and other Council staff

Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Chairman, Dr. Eric Osayande has directed the SLG, others to fix a date for the distribution of the hand sanitizers and face masks to members of the public

Shaibu, Edo Deputy Governor resumes work in his new office

The Deputy Governor of Edo State, Philip Shaibu, on Tuesday morning, officially resumed work in his new office at 7, Dennis Osadebey Avenue very close to Edo state government house. This was after noticing that his former office in government house have been locked up by security men attached to government house.  Recall that on Monday, Philip Shaibu claimed that he had not received any official communication for him to relocate to the new office, he also said it was only the civil savants attached to his office that was relocated.  He was seen standing  by the entrance to his former office, which was under lock. He was also seen making a call to an unknown individual, pleading to help him call the governor to know why his former office was locked. Shaibu was also complaining to the unknown individual that he was yet to receive any letter asking him to relocate.
