Eid-el-Fitr *Osunde Felicitates With Muslim Faithfuls

      calls for renewed unity, peace amongst faithfuls

The Executive Chairman of Oredo Local Government, Hon. Jenkins Osunde has felicitated with the Muslim community in Oredo Local Government Area as faithfuls round up their fast 

In a statement made available to the press, Osunde who commended Oredo Muslim community for their decorum and peaceful disposition called for renewed unity and peace; he said "I felicitate with the Muslim faithfuls as they conclude their fast; it is my hope that the just-concluded exercise will build amongst the community a renewed unity, peace and hope as well as strengthen the bond between you and members of other faiths" 

The Local Government Boss has reassured of his administration's avered commitment to the security of lives and properties of residents of Oredo Local Government Area, ensuring that Muslims, members of other faiths and non-faith based members carry out their activities without fear

Admonishing Muslim faithfuls to remain vigilant and law-abiding, Osunde noted that only in a peaceful atmosphere can any meaningful development take place

Hon. Osunde expressed regrets at the outbreak of the novel COVID-19, acknowledging the negative impact the disease may have had on the sacred Muslim activity; however, he has admonished Muslim faithfuls to continue to observe the recommended precautionary measures aimed at preventing further spread of the deadly disease, urging faithfuls to be modest and cautious as they move about

"As you conclude your sacred fast, remember that we are in a battle with an unseen enemy, CORONAVIRUS is real and continue to take lives at the world stage; I urge you to adhere strictly to the various precautionary measures of social distancing, regular hand-washing with soap, under running water, application of alcohol-based hand sanitizers as recommended by our government, the World Health Organization (WHO) and other relevant agencies"

Shaibu, Edo Deputy Governor resumes work in his new office

The Deputy Governor of Edo State, Philip Shaibu, on Tuesday morning, officially resumed work in his new office at 7, Dennis Osadebey Avenue very close to Edo state government house. This was after noticing that his former office in government house have been locked up by security men attached to government house.  Recall that on Monday, Philip Shaibu claimed that he had not received any official communication for him to relocate to the new office, he also said it was only the civil savants attached to his office that was relocated.  He was seen standing  by the entrance to his former office, which was under lock. He was also seen making a call to an unknown individual, pleading to help him call the governor to know why his former office was locked. Shaibu was also complaining to the unknown individual that he was yet to receive any letter asking him to relocate.
