2023: Zamfara State PDP Governorship Primary Under Judicial Challenge

Adamu Maina Waziri, Col.Bala Mande (rtd) and Dauda Lawal Dare to Face Judicial Scrutiny Over Fraudulent Primary Election


The conduct of the 25th May , 2022 Zamfara State PDP Primary Governorship Election has remained profoundly controversial and seriously questionable .


As a consequence of the noxious  unconstitutional character of what happened during the alleged primary contest under the chairmanship of Adamu Maina Waziri, a case has been filed at the Federal High Court in Gusau challenging the fake primary election. 


The unity alliance of 3 aspirants from the 4 persons who objected to the proceeding of the primary election has filed a challenge at the High Court justifiably asking for nullification of the 25th May dubious outcome.


The 3 aspirants Dr.(Engr.) Ibrahim Shehu Gusau, Aliyu Hafiz Muhammad and Mallam Wadatau Madawaki have approached the federal court stating that Dauda Lawal Dare did NOT emerge as the PDP flag bearer through a transparent primary excercise.


The 3 plaintiffs submitted that the alleged primary election was incurably infected  with the virus of flagrant violation of the PDP constitutional prescription on Governorship Primary Election .


It was further alleged that the Chairman of the primary election committee  (Adamu Maina Waziri) was reckless and malicious even to the point of replacing legitimate delegates of the PDP with members of the opposition party APC. The purpose of such atrocious and indefensible  conduct was to ensure the illegal victory of the Dauda Lawal Dare who is factually and arguably a member of the APC.


The judicial application therefore seeks an injunction restraining the PDP from submitting the name of Dauda Lawal Dare as the flag  bearer for the Zamfara  Governorship Election in 2023.


Northwest Investigations will confirm shortly if court officials have been able to catch up with two of the defendants who are dodging the service of the judicial summons

Shaibu, Edo Deputy Governor resumes work in his new office

The Deputy Governor of Edo State, Philip Shaibu, on Tuesday morning, officially resumed work in his new office at 7, Dennis Osadebey Avenue very close to Edo state government house. This was after noticing that his former office in government house have been locked up by security men attached to government house.  Recall that on Monday, Philip Shaibu claimed that he had not received any official communication for him to relocate to the new office, he also said it was only the civil savants attached to his office that was relocated.  He was seen standing  by the entrance to his former office, which was under lock. He was also seen making a call to an unknown individual, pleading to help him call the governor to know why his former office was locked. Shaibu was also complaining to the unknown individual that he was yet to receive any letter asking him to relocate.
