Global Interfaith Initiative Commends Capt. Jamil MD Abubakar for Commitment to Religious Understanding and Harmony


The Nigeria Chapter of the Global Interfaith Initiative has sent a message of recognition and appreciation to a distinguished young political leader and outstanding philanthropist (Capt. Jamil MD Abubakar)  in celebration of his catalyzing role in promoting religious understanding and tolerance in Zamfara State.


According to a statement issued by the global forum, Capt. Jamil MD Abubakar has displayed an  amazing profile  and unique disposition for building a’’ multi-religious and ethnically –diverse society anchored on mutual respect between different faiths‘’.  In the media release signed by the African representative of the Global Interfaith Initiative, Dele Ailemen, in Lagos yesterday, ‘’ the young political leader has made invaluable contribution and huge sacrifices for a formidable co-operative  economic environment where people of different faiths flourish without animosity towards each other. ‘’We remain very proud of the instructive message you delivered to our virtual  conference in  January, 2022, where you stressed the need for religious harmony as inextricably linked to peaceful economic development‘’, the global forum recalls. 


Continuing, the interfaith group said it joins in prayers to welcome Capt. Jamil MD Abubakar from the performance of the Lesser Hajj wishing him the blessings of his supplication from the Almighty Allah.


‘’We wish to recall the enthusiasm with which you always responded to our various requests for medical and educational assistance to indigent youths of Christian faith in Zamfara State without the slightest hesitation‘’, the group statement noted.The Global Interfaith Initiative added that ‘’ the gesture of abundant donation of food items to Christians in Zamfara State during last year’s Christmas was exemplary and commendable’’.  ‘’ We wish to recall that all the older politicians in the state only rushed following your example to show yuletide magnanimity after you led the initiative ‘’, the group further observes. 


Concluding, the Global Interfaith Initiative announced that it looks forward to a formal award ceremony in honor of  Capt. Jamil MD Abubakar in Los Angeles, California in November this year.

Shaibu, Edo Deputy Governor resumes work in his new office

The Deputy Governor of Edo State, Philip Shaibu, on Tuesday morning, officially resumed work in his new office at 7, Dennis Osadebey Avenue very close to Edo state government house. This was after noticing that his former office in government house have been locked up by security men attached to government house.  Recall that on Monday, Philip Shaibu claimed that he had not received any official communication for him to relocate to the new office, he also said it was only the civil savants attached to his office that was relocated.  He was seen standing  by the entrance to his former office, which was under lock. He was also seen making a call to an unknown individual, pleading to help him call the governor to know why his former office was locked. Shaibu was also complaining to the unknown individual that he was yet to receive any letter asking him to relocate.
