The Chairman of Oredo Local Government Area, Hon. Evbareke Jenkins Osunde has described the  dismissal of the APC certificate forgery case against Governor Obaseki by the Abuja Federal Court as ‘’ legally formidable and logically infallible .’’ 

In a congratulatory message issued to the media in Benin yesterday, the Council Chairman remarked that’’ the APC allegation of certificate forgery against Governor Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki constituted malicious fiction right from its poisonous foundation.’’ 

According to Hon. Osunde,’’ the APC case will go down in history as one of the most frivolous, the most  porous and disastrous legal misadventure aimed at overturning the results of a legitimately qualified and duly elected Governor in Nigeria in Nigeria’s modern political era’’. 

Continuing Osunde said that the entire APC supposed legal suit ‘’ stood logic upside down as the endeavor was miserably deficit of credible facts and evidential veracity.’’ 

The Ordeo Council Chairman said that the court has further given affirmation to the’’ enthusiastically and democratically expressed wishes of Edo people as they did in the 19th September 2020 Governorship Election.’’

Hon. Osunde predicted that any attempt to challenge the Federal Court’s pronouncement’’ will equally prove abortive and indelibly embarrassing.’’

He expressed the hope that Edo politicians’’ irrespective of their partisan stripes will immediately rally around the Governor to act in solidarity with the unprecedented developmental efforts of the administration for the collective good of the people.’’

Shaibu, Edo Deputy Governor resumes work in his new office

The Deputy Governor of Edo State, Philip Shaibu, on Tuesday morning, officially resumed work in his new office at 7, Dennis Osadebey Avenue very close to Edo state government house. This was after noticing that his former office in government house have been locked up by security men attached to government house.  Recall that on Monday, Philip Shaibu claimed that he had not received any official communication for him to relocate to the new office, he also said it was only the civil savants attached to his office that was relocated.  He was seen standing  by the entrance to his former office, which was under lock. He was also seen making a call to an unknown individual, pleading to help him call the governor to know why his former office was locked. Shaibu was also complaining to the unknown individual that he was yet to receive any letter asking him to relocate.
