Former Chairman of Ikpoba-Okha Local Government and PDP Candidate, Ikpoba-Okha in the fast-approaching Edo local government election, Dr. Eric Osayande, has been hailed for his numerous pro-people initiatives.

Osayande got the nods of vast majority of residents in Ward 2 of the LGA during a campaign tour on critical stakeholders, others, Wednesday.

At an interactive session with elders of the Ward, the former Council Chief Executive x-rayed his quarterly meeting with elders and the various take-homes that followed, promising improved social welfare deals if elected to Council for another three (3) years.

"A number of our initiatives addressed elders, women and children in the past, I am committed to do more for our elders; my interactions with the aged over the years has further broaden my scope and I am even more committed to the plight of old people in Ikpoba-Okha upon elected as Chairman this September.

The elders who were in obvious satisfaction with the achievements of the Chairman during the years 2018-2021 vowed to consolidate his efforts with their votes; they noted that Osayande's obvious humility and transparency is key in the race to Council.

Speaking, "we are very familiar with your good works in your first shot, the numbers you see here today is a testament of your good works in the past; we assure you of our collective support come September; we believe strongly in your capability to advance the development of our LGA."

"We are solidly behind you."

Oregbeni market women thronged out in their numbers to welcome the former Chairman, noting that Osayande brought back the life that was snuffed out of Oregbeni market by past administrations. 

"We recall how you moved men and materials to clear the mountaneous waste in our market; our market use to be a major dumpsite, until you came and changed the narrative; furthermore, you built our market, expanded it and provided security, light and water for us, we are very grateful and this will show in our votes for you come September 2nd."

At Jemila junction, residents including Keke riders were in joyful mood to welcome the former Chairman and Candidate to the area.

They recalled how Osayande provided furniture for Ogbeni Primary School, his transformer-distribution initiative and how he continue to protect the collective interests of Keke riders through his policies and programmes; it was a loud aye for Dr. Eric Osayande as he led other members of the campaign council to Ward 2 again. 

On Osayande's tour on Ward 2 Wednesday, were the immediate past Vice Chairman, Ikpoba-Okha Local Government, Engr. Jolly Osayande, Vice Chairmanship Candidate, Hon. Osamuyi Idehen, Councillorship Candidate, Ward 2, Hannah Inem.

DG, Campaign Council, Pst. Blessed Ighiwiyisi, PDP Chairman Ikpoba-Okha, Pst. Paul Osazuwa, women leaders, youth leaders and a host of others were also present.

The Edo State Local Government election holds September 2nd; Dr. Eric Osayande is sure of victory following the exceptional stewardship he rendered when he first served as Chairman of Ikpoba-Okha Local Government in the years 2018-2021.
