The Executive Chairman of Ikpoba-Okha Local Government, Dr. Eric Osayande has formally resigned from the All Progressives Congress; the Council boss has picked up his party card from his Ward 9 Chairman and is now a member of Africa's largest party, the PDP

Before becoming the Executive Chairman, Dr. Osayande has been the Party Chairman, Ikpoba-Okha LGA; Osayande has been adjudged as an excellent Council Boss who has transformed the face of local government administration in Edo State; he is a recipient of several awards from local and international bodies

Tendering his resignation letter on Sunday at the PDP Ward 9 Secretariat, Osayande applied, "I wish to refer to the above subject and to apply to be a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)

"It is my keen desire to continue to play unrelenting and unalloyed support and loyalty to the Peoples Democratic Party and the Executive Governor of Edo State in his agenda to take Edo State to the next level" Osayande added

During his speech, the Council Chairman reeled out some of his projects to include construction of schools, markets, rehabilitation of earth roads, distribution of transformers, rehabilitation of primary health centres, construction and rehabilitation of boreholes etc; he also identified some road projects in the Ward facilitated by the Obaseki-led administration

Joining Osayande to resign and pick up new membership cards were a former Member of the House of Representatives for Egor and Ikpoba-Okha Federal Constituencies, Rt. Hon. Jim Adun, Senior Special Assistant to the Edo State Governor, Hon. Harrison Esemuede who hails from the Ward, Councillor, Ward 9, Ikpoba-Okha Local Government, Hon. Jolly Iyoha and a host of others

Dr. Osayande joins the PDP with numerous supporters, admirers, and well-wishers; he has said the new arrangement is a "family affair" hence no one will be left behind

The Ward 9 Chairman and members of the executive, elders of the Ward, youths, women and supporters of the PDP were all on ground to welcome Dr. Osayande, Rt. Hon. Jim Adun and other new entrants to the Party

The Council Boss, others has since been issued their new party cards and has promised to upscale development in the Ward in particular and the Local Government Area in general through the instrumentalities of the PDP

Shaibu, Edo Deputy Governor resumes work in his new office

The Deputy Governor of Edo State, Philip Shaibu, on Tuesday morning, officially resumed work in his new office at 7, Dennis Osadebey Avenue very close to Edo state government house. This was after noticing that his former office in government house have been locked up by security men attached to government house.  Recall that on Monday, Philip Shaibu claimed that he had not received any official communication for him to relocate to the new office, he also said it was only the civil savants attached to his office that was relocated.  He was seen standing  by the entrance to his former office, which was under lock. He was also seen making a call to an unknown individual, pleading to help him call the governor to know why his former office was locked. Shaibu was also complaining to the unknown individual that he was yet to receive any letter asking him to relocate.
