COVID-19 - Another Round Of Hand Sanitizers, Face Masks Distributed By Ikpoba-Okha Local Govt

The Ikpoba-Okha Local Govt has distributed 350 hand sanitizers and 200 face masks to livestock traders at Kara Market, Aduwawa, Ward 4 of the LGA; the distribution which held Wednesday at the Kara Market compound forms part of the Osayande-led administration's determination at curtailing the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic in the locality

The Osayande-led administration has developed a number of programmes aimed at safeguarding the health of residents in the outbreak of the #CORONAVIRUS disease; sensitizations have been taken to markets, parks, homes and other places of public interests

Leading the distribution delegation on Wednesday to Kara Market, the Vice Chairman of Ikpoba-Okha Local Government, Hon. Jolly Osayande admonished the traders to continue to maintain the globally accepted precautionary measures of hand-washing, application of alcohol-based hand sanitizers, observation of social and physical distance, etc

Osayande said, "the Council Chairman has directed us to come and share these kits amongst Kara Market traders; this is one of the numerous distribution the Council had made; it is expected that you will make good use of these products in the curtailment of the deadly disease"

"Be informed that Oka Market, Santana, Dumez Markets, Oregbeni Market, Ologbo Markets; bus, Keke parks have gotten kits from the Ikpoba-Okha Local Government; Dr. Eric Osayande intends to reach out to every part of the Local Government Area in the fight against the disease" the Vice Chairman added

Kara Market traders has expressed appreciation to the Council Chairman for his foresight since the outbreak of the disease; promising to continually observe the precautionary measures as well as pledging their continuous support for the Osayande-led administration

On the delegation team were the Secretary to Local Government, Barr. Osagie Igbinomwanhia, Supervisory Councillor for Works, Hon. Derry Uwagboe 

Meanwhile, the team also visited the Aduwawa Screening Centre where health officials were seen carrying out screening exercise on residents in the locality; it was said that there has been a significant level of compliance from residents

Dr. Eric Osayande has expressed his administration's determination to continually prevent the spread of the disease in Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area viz-a-viz developing the LGA's human and infrastructural resources
