PDP Nomination: Obaseki’s Clear Road to Victory

Hon. Osunde declares that Gov.Obaseki’s re-election is unstoppable.

The democratic emergence of Gov. Obaseki speaks of the aspirations of Edo people.

The Chairman of Oredo Local Government Area, Hon. Evbareke Jenkins Osunde has described the Edo State PDP 2020 gubernatorial nomination exercise as a ‘’ worthy example of internal party democracy with the positive outcome of delivering the cherished candidate for the September General Election’’.

The LGA Chairman remarked in a statement released to the media in Benin-City today that the PDP leadership has demonstrated an enviable fidelity to the idea that the voices and votes of delegates should decide the outcome of who becomes the flag bearer of a political party.

‘’In the PDP, they wanted the people, the delegates to choose the governorship candidate of the party,
in the APC, a dictatorial cabal was engaged in impunity, determined to impose their candidate on the people, the difference is indisputable’’ Hon. Osunde submitted.

Continuing, the Oredo Council Chairman stated that’’ the overwhelming 97 percent poll by the Governor at the nomination exercise was an enchanting snapshot of the widespread popularity of His Excellency
among the people of Edo State.’’ Hon. Osunde predicted that Edo State electorate will turn out massively in the September gubernatorial election to show appreciation and affirmation for the accomplishments of a Governor that has impressively delivered on his promises.’’

Hon. Osunde concluded that the General Election will revalidate the ‘’ cherished notion that power ultimately belongs to the people in Democracy and not the Screening Committee of a sinking and chaotic political party labeled the APC.’’
