The Executive Chairman of Oredo Local Government and Chairman, ALGON, Edo State, Hon. Evbareke Jenkins Osunde has resigned from the All Progressives Congress, joining the PDP amidst hundreds of supporters and indigenes of the Local Government Area

Osunde sits on the Chair of the most metropolitan, robust and economically vibrant local government area in Edo State with a vast majority of people under his watch

The Oredo Council boss has expressed admiration for Godwin Obaseki's bold step in leading hundreds of thousands of supporters to the PDP, noting that Obaseki is a generational leader and an embodiment of "the new political order"

Evbareke Jenkins Osunde resigned his membership of the APC in his Ward in Oredo and has assured that as Chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria, Edo State Chapter, he can authoritatively say that 17 other Chairmen are with the Governor in the PDP and will galvanize popular support for Mr. Godwin Obaseki before, during and after the September 19 guber poll

The Council boss has said that the Osunde-led ALGON in Edo State will deploy the instrumentalities of the association to clinch victory for Godwin Obaseki come September 19 as the June 24 primary election is "victory all the way", noting that ALGON will soon organise a world press conference as part of concerted efforts to refocus the association's numerous supporters

Godwin Obaseki, yesterday joined the PDP at the Party's Secretariat in Benin City, the Edo State capital after a long-drawn battle with the suspended National Chairman of the APC, Adams Oshiomhole, a move that has seen to many Edo people move with the Governor to his new Party declaring unwavering support for the Edo State Governor

Shaibu, Edo Deputy Governor resumes work in his new office

The Deputy Governor of Edo State, Philip Shaibu, on Tuesday morning, officially resumed work in his new office at 7, Dennis Osadebey Avenue very close to Edo state government house. This was after noticing that his former office in government house have been locked up by security men attached to government house.  Recall that on Monday, Philip Shaibu claimed that he had not received any official communication for him to relocate to the new office, he also said it was only the civil savants attached to his office that was relocated.  He was seen standing  by the entrance to his former office, which was under lock. He was also seen making a call to an unknown individual, pleading to help him call the governor to know why his former office was locked. Shaibu was also complaining to the unknown individual that he was yet to receive any letter asking him to relocate.
