.....A Message And Public Memo From Hon. Evbareke Jenkins Osunde  (Executive Chairman, Oredo Local 
Government Area) to the People of the LGA

 ......(Notes on My Conversations with the People of Oredo Local Government Area Following the Disgraceful Attempt to Sabotage the 8-year Tenure of Governor Godwin Noghehase Obaseki by a Politically Fraudulent and Infamously Undemocratic APC Screening Committee)
 
 I consider it very vital and historic to share this message with the dignified and heroic constituents and communities of our frontline Local Government. Since the June 12th vicious attack on Democracy in Edo 
State by a so-called APC Screening Committee, which allegedly disqualified our Governor as an aspirant for the 2020 election, I have been receiving ceaseless numerous calls from considerable population of our concerned constituents. From the conversations and interactions with various socio-economic groups and across political formations of our Oredo community , from market women, teachers to all brackets of public service employees, pensioners as well as the youths , your voices have been strong just as your views have been clear and your determination unwavering for progressive continuity and 
the actualization of 4+4. Your hopes and aspiration will undoubtedly gain resonance in the providential realm in a way that will propel us through the political hurdles and distractions being created by some endemically regressive elements in our midst. 

No individual or group no matter the powers they so delusively arrogate to themselves can truncate the momentum of unprecedented socio-economic prosperity that Governor Obaseki has engendered. This is the good fortune that all of us as Oredo people share with all the other Local Governments in the state. 

Those who arrogantly thought that the illegal and malicious disqualification of our amiable and performing Governor will mark the beginning of the end for His Excellency in , Osadebey House, have been proved fatally wrong -they have been shocked by the organic upsurge in support of Governor 
Obaseki ; what we are currently witnessing in Oredo is the collective energy of a resounding unstoppable march for our Governor’s second term.

To the people of Oredo who are understandably anxious about the Governor’s next line of action, I urge 
all of you to be rest assured that His Excellency will act with his characteristic thoughtfulness and unselfishness taking into consideration the vital interest and the future of Edo State citizens. There is an 
indestructible Covenant of Trust between the Governor and Oredo people. Oredo is therefore ready to travel further together with the Governor on the next journey for continuity and consolidation of the 
economic prosperity and people-oriented political reforms so far attained. 

I’m most obliged for the opportunity and privilege to communicate with the communities and people of 
Oredo LGA. Everything will turn out for the best with Oredo people, with Edo State citizenry and Governor Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki .
 The unquenchable bright light of History will ultimately shine on our cherished hopes and aspirations.

Shaibu, Edo Deputy Governor resumes work in his new office

The Deputy Governor of Edo State, Philip Shaibu, on Tuesday morning, officially resumed work in his new office at 7, Dennis Osadebey Avenue very close to Edo state government house. This was after noticing that his former office in government house have been locked up by security men attached to government house.  Recall that on Monday, Philip Shaibu claimed that he had not received any official communication for him to relocate to the new office, he also said it was only the civil savants attached to his office that was relocated.  He was seen standing  by the entrance to his former office, which was under lock. He was also seen making a call to an unknown individual, pleading to help him call the governor to know why his former office was locked. Shaibu was also complaining to the unknown individual that he was yet to receive any letter asking him to relocate.
