The Executive Chairman of Oredo Local Government Area Hon. Evbareke Jenkins Osunde has described the victory of Governor Obaseki as a mark of’’ faithful reciprocity on the part of the citizenry towards the Governor for remarkable achievements of the administration.’’ In a press statement issued in Benin on Sunday, Hon. Osunde remarked that the level of voters’ enthusiasm in the gubernatorial election was unprecedented as the people of Oredo displayed a selfless determination to show remarkable appreciation to a Governor who has consistently delivered on his electoral promises.’’

‘’  Across the state , it is noteworthy that  the citizenry stood gallantly to vote for progressive continuity and to send a crystal  clear message that the Edo electorate was consciously sophisticated to make its own choice without corrupt influences’’, the Oredo Council Chairman noted. 

Continuing, Hon. Osunde observed that ‘’ the Oredo LGA voters in particular lived up to the prediction to emerge as premiere facilitators in the march of victory.’’ 

The LGA Chairman recalled that he was prayerful and hopeful when he projected two weeks ago that the Local Government was going to stand as a towering landmark in the pooling of votes for progressive continuity and the 2nd term victory of the Governor. The Council Chairman declared that the ‘’unequalled high votes by Oredo voters have given a resounding affirmation to Governor Obaseki’s unblemished profile of dedicated achievements in the service of the people.’’  

Hon. Osunde remarked that he was’’ buoyantly enthusiastic in congratulating the Governor for establishing a new civics of services and policies consciously structured for the benefit of the majority of the people. The LGA Chairman concluded that the 2020 election is a ‘’ vindication of the Governor’s record of achievements by the jury of History and the people.’’

Shaibu, Edo Deputy Governor resumes work in his new office

The Deputy Governor of Edo State, Philip Shaibu, on Tuesday morning, officially resumed work in his new office at 7, Dennis Osadebey Avenue very close to Edo state government house. This was after noticing that his former office in government house have been locked up by security men attached to government house.  Recall that on Monday, Philip Shaibu claimed that he had not received any official communication for him to relocate to the new office, he also said it was only the civil savants attached to his office that was relocated.  He was seen standing  by the entrance to his former office, which was under lock. He was also seen making a call to an unknown individual, pleading to help him call the governor to know why his former office was locked. Shaibu was also complaining to the unknown individual that he was yet to receive any letter asking him to relocate.
