Oredo LGA Prepares Safe Environment For School Resumption 

Council Chairman Hon . Osunde says that Gov. Obaseki has progressively transformed education in the state 

Hon. Osunde expresses appreciation for the support of teachers'  union for the re-election of the Governor 

The Chairman of Oredo Local Government Hon. Evbareke Jenkins Osunde says that the efforts of the State Government in elevating education to new heights in comparison to other states in Nigeria is an accomplishment of great pride .

The Council Chairman was speaking during an interactive session with the media in Benin regarding the on going the  health and environmental exercises in preparation for school resumption in the LGA.

Hon. Osunde noted that " while awaiting the resumption of schools , the local government has commenced the clearing of weeds and fumigation of schools under the Council beginning from Ogbe Primary School "

 The LGA Chairman said that the Governor has " established a model of high premium in priority and policy setting for education  in a way that is immensely beneficial to the posterity of our state ."


Continuing , Hon. Osunde remarked that " the second term of the Governor will see a further enhancement and irreversible  consolidation of the remarkable progress that Edo State has recorded in the  educational sector ."

The Council Chairman expressed the confidence that parents and teachers " will reciprocate their appreciation for Governor's faithful delivery on his pledges for the transformation of education ."

Shaibu, Edo Deputy Governor resumes work in his new office

The Deputy Governor of Edo State, Philip Shaibu, on Tuesday morning, officially resumed work in his new office at 7, Dennis Osadebey Avenue very close to Edo state government house. This was after noticing that his former office in government house have been locked up by security men attached to government house.  Recall that on Monday, Philip Shaibu claimed that he had not received any official communication for him to relocate to the new office, he also said it was only the civil savants attached to his office that was relocated.  He was seen standing  by the entrance to his former office, which was under lock. He was also seen making a call to an unknown individual, pleading to help him call the governor to know why his former office was locked. Shaibu was also complaining to the unknown individual that he was yet to receive any letter asking him to relocate.
