Hon. Evbareke Jenkins Osunde Hosts Victory Party,

Appreciates Party Faithful for Standing with Governor Obaseki

‘’The Governor’s  victory marks our liberation from the captivity of political godfathers ‘’

It was an atmosphere packed with celebration and jubilation as the Executive Chairman of Oredo Local Government Council, Hon. Evbareke Jenikins Osunde , hosted Oredo PDP Ward 6 party leaders , members and the voters whose efforts contributed to resounding second term victory of Governor Obaseki.

The party which was well attended by  members included guests like the Chairman of Ward 6 PDP, the Woman Leader, members of the Legislative Arm of Oredo Local Government as well as the Special Advisers to Chairman Osunde. 


Speaking during the ceremony, Hon. Osunde said that he was profoundly grateful to the voters of Ward 6 for emerging as one of the most dependable and formidable constituency in the historic  march for the re-election of the Governor. According to the Oredo LGA Chairman, ‘’ the voters of Ward 6 can proudly count themselves as having faithfully  played their part  in ensuring that a government representing progressive continuity was returned to office. The voters of Ward 6 where we recorded victory with wide margins in the entire 28 units of the constituency and also, in the larger Oredo Local Government  Area,where we  won more than 43-thousand votes, have proved the point that the remarkable performance of the Governor was truly appreciated by the people.’’


Hon. Osunde assured the attendants at the celebration  that  the Governor will not ‘’ disappoint the hopes of the people of Edo State .’’  

He concluded that ‘’ Governor Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki was set to place Edo State in a premier location of the economic and political map of Nigeria.’’

Shaibu, Edo Deputy Governor resumes work in his new office

The Deputy Governor of Edo State, Philip Shaibu, on Tuesday morning, officially resumed work in his new office at 7, Dennis Osadebey Avenue very close to Edo state government house. This was after noticing that his former office in government house have been locked up by security men attached to government house.  Recall that on Monday, Philip Shaibu claimed that he had not received any official communication for him to relocate to the new office, he also said it was only the civil savants attached to his office that was relocated.  He was seen standing  by the entrance to his former office, which was under lock. He was also seen making a call to an unknown individual, pleading to help him call the governor to know why his former office was locked. Shaibu was also complaining to the unknown individual that he was yet to receive any letter asking him to relocate.
