Outgoing Corps Members of the Uhunmwonde Chapter of the NYSC today by a delegation was at the Office of the Council Chairman, Hon Agbama Napoleon in appreciation of his fatherly role, his effort towards alleviating the welfare of the people during the ravaging days of COVID-19, ensuring proper distribution of palliatives and developmental strides across Uhunmwonde Local Government Area of Edo State.

The leader of the delegation praised Hon. Napoleon Agbama for standing out as a Role Model, Passion for Service and Human Capacity building.


In response, the Council Chairman said, with the second term victory of His Excellency, Governor Godwin Obaseki at the Polls, he, Hon. Napoleon Agbama is poised to do more for our people. He also charged the corps members to continue to uphold the virtues of Service to their fatherland and live an exemplary life as younger generations looked up to them.

Thanking the delegation and members of the National Youth Service Corps, Uhunmwonde Chapter for accepting to serve in Uhunmwonde and being part of a rich cultural heritage, he dedicated the Award to the good people of Uhunmwode and His Excellency, Governor Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki.

Shaibu, Edo Deputy Governor resumes work in his new office

The Deputy Governor of Edo State, Philip Shaibu, on Tuesday morning, officially resumed work in his new office at 7, Dennis Osadebey Avenue very close to Edo state government house. This was after noticing that his former office in government house have been locked up by security men attached to government house.  Recall that on Monday, Philip Shaibu claimed that he had not received any official communication for him to relocate to the new office, he also said it was only the civil savants attached to his office that was relocated.  He was seen standing  by the entrance to his former office, which was under lock. He was also seen making a call to an unknown individual, pleading to help him call the governor to know why his former office was locked. Shaibu was also complaining to the unknown individual that he was yet to receive any letter asking him to relocate.
