Hon.Osunde Intensifies Grassroots Campaign for 2020

—Says Oredo Is Ready 

The Executive Chairman of Oredo Local Government Area, Hon. Evbareke Jenkins Osunde has continued with direct mobilization outreach to key segments of the Oredo electorate in preparation for the 2020 state gubernatorial election. 

He recently addressed the Market Women Association at the popular Oliha commercial center in the LGA.

According to the Council Chairman, ‘’ every constitutional steps will be taken to ensure that we sensitize the people , mobilize the electorate to the polls , ensure that they vote freely without negative pressure and ultimately guarantee that nobody tampers with the expressed will of the people.’’


Hon.Osunde told the enthusiastic and energetic crowd that Governor Godwin Obaseki remains irreversibly committed to improving the fortunes of small and medium scale women entrepreneurs in the state. 

Hon. Osunde used the opportunity of the rally  to further remind the traders of the prevalence and impact  of the Coronavirus. The Chairman pleaded that ‘’ they should continue to maintain the local government directives on wearing masks and social distancing as well as other hygiene protocols.’’ ‘’ In addition to your support for our amiable Governor, Oredo Local Government deeply cares for the good health and wellbeing of our constituents ‘’, Hon. Shaibu, Edo Deputy Governor resumes work in his new office

The Deputy Governor of Edo State, Philip Shaibu, on Tuesday morning, officially resumed work in his new office at 7, Dennis Osadebey Avenue very close to Edo state government house. This was after noticing that his former office in government house have been locked up by security men attached to government house.  Recall that on Monday, Philip Shaibu claimed that he had not received any official communication for him to relocate to the new office, he also said it was only the civil savants attached to his office that was relocated.  He was seen standing  by the entrance to his former office, which was under lock. He was also seen making a call to an unknown individual, pleading to help him call the governor to know why his former office was locked. Shaibu was also complaining to the unknown individual that he was yet to receive any letter asking him to relocate.
