Hon.Osunde Intensifies Grassroots Campaign for 2020

—Says Oredo Is Ready 

The Executive Chairman of Oredo Local Government Area, Hon. Evbareke Jenkins Osunde has continued with direct mobilization outreach to key segments of the Oredo electorate in preparation for the 2020 state gubernatorial election. 

He recently addressed the Market Women Association at the popular Oliha commercial center in the LGA.

According to the Council Chairman, ‘’ every constitutional steps will be taken to ensure that we sensitize the people , mobilize the electorate to the polls , ensure that they vote freely without negative pressure and ultimately guarantee that nobody tampers with the expressed will of the people.’’


Hon.Osunde told the enthusiastic and energetic crowd that Governor Godwin Obaseki remains irreversibly committed to improving the fortunes of small and medium scale women entrepreneurs in the state. 

Hon. Osunde used the opportunity of the rally  to further remind the traders of the prevalence and impact  of the Coronavirus. The Chairman pleaded that ‘’ they should continue to maintain the local government directives on wearing masks and social distancing as well as other hygiene protocols.’’ ‘’ In addition to your support for our amiable Governor, Oredo Local Government deeply cares for the good health and wellbeing of our constituents ‘’, Hon. The retired Justice S. A. Omonuwa-led panel, which had its inaugural sitting on Wednesday in Benin, the state capital, ended its sitting on Friday with Shaibu or his counsel failing to show up.  " You are still under suspension," Ize-Iyamu cautions Oshiomhole Following the statement credited to Oshiomhole yesterday where he was quoted as saying the current revalidation exercise of the party is a joke and unconstitutional, Ize-Iyamu who is now the leader of the APC in Edo state, has cautioned Oshiomhole to speak less as his suspension is yet to be lifted by his ward.  Oshiomhole who is understandably unhappy about the hijack of APC in Edo state by Ize-Iyamu, lambasted the whole exercise and even went ahed to say the exercise will fall in the face of legal scrutiny.
