PDP Ward to Ward Campaign is Indicative of Grassroots Electoral Leadership


The Executive Chairman of Oredo Local Government Hon. Evbareke Jenkins Osunde has reaffirmed the projection that the local government will serve as the flagship for the re-election bid of  Governor Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki.

The Council Chairmam made the remark while interacting with the media during a mass street mobilzation campaign by PDP Ward 6 in Benin.




Hon. Osunde said that the people of Oredo Local.Governnment were irreversibly determined to vote enthusistically and massively for re-election of a Governor " who has faithfully delivered on his first term pledges"

Directing the attention of the journalists to the lively attendants at the Oredo PDP Ward 6 event in Benin -City , the LGA Chairman observed that " the people on their own are showing robust reciprocity and positive response to the Governor's campaign solely based on his performances ."


Reflecting on the state of the campaign thus far, Hon. Osunde noted that the reception for the Governor " has been amazingly warm accross the three Senatorial Zones of the State. " 

" Here at home in Oredo, we are prepared to welcome and honor the Governor with an amiable and jusyifiably proud  final leg of his entire -Ward -to-Ward Campaign throughout the State " , Hon .Osunde declared .

The Chairman concluded that people of " Oredo constituency will  renew the legitimacy of democratic governance by ensurung a peaceful and fraud -proof re-election of Governir Obaseki on September 19th."

Shaibu, Edo Deputy Governor resumes work in his new office

The Deputy Governor of Edo State, Philip Shaibu, on Tuesday morning, officially resumed work in his new office at 7, Dennis Osadebey Avenue very close to Edo state government house. This was after noticing that his former office in government house have been locked up by security men attached to government house.  Recall that on Monday, Philip Shaibu claimed that he had not received any official communication for him to relocate to the new office, he also said it was only the civil savants attached to his office that was relocated.  He was seen standing  by the entrance to his former office, which was under lock. He was also seen making a call to an unknown individual, pleading to help him call the governor to know why his former office was locked. Shaibu was also complaining to the unknown individual that he was yet to receive any letter asking him to relocate.
