#EDO 2020: Oredo Will Deliver For Obaseki, Hon. Osunde Declares

—‘’Governor Obaseki’s Popularity is overwhelming.’’

The Executive Chairman of Oredo Local Government Area, Hon. Evbareke Jenkins Osunde has reaffirmed the position that the residents of the LGA will vote overwhelmingly for Governor Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki in the September 19 gubernatorial election. 

Hon. Osunde’s remarks were contained in 
statement released to media in Benin this morning. 

The Council Chairman stated that ‘’with about 60 days to the 2020 gubernatorial contest , the trend of public opinion was solidly indicative that Governor Obaseki was distantly ahead in the preference of 
Oredo voters.’’ 

Continuing, Hon. Osunde contended that the issues at stake in the election were distinctly clear as a choice between a situation of progressive continuity and one of glittering empty Promises. ’’ 

The LGA Chairman predicted in the statement that ‘’ the people of Oredo will not abandon a tried, tested and proven public agenda to pursue oceans of mirages. ’’

Hon. Osunde observed that Governor Godwin Obaseki has rejuvenated the essence of local governance through 
a commendable policy of infrastructure development spreading from rural to the urban locations of the 
state. 

The Council Chairman concluded that ‘’with Obaseki’s administration , Edo State has established a new era where local governments unquestionably made the people at the grassroots the premiere priority in all policy considerations .’’

Shaibu, Edo Deputy Governor resumes work in his new office

The Deputy Governor of Edo State, Philip Shaibu, on Tuesday morning, officially resumed work in his new office at 7, Dennis Osadebey Avenue very close to Edo state government house. This was after noticing that his former office in government house have been locked up by security men attached to government house.  Recall that on Monday, Philip Shaibu claimed that he had not received any official communication for him to relocate to the new office, he also said it was only the civil savants attached to his office that was relocated.  He was seen standing  by the entrance to his former office, which was under lock. He was also seen making a call to an unknown individual, pleading to help him call the governor to know why his former office was locked. Shaibu was also complaining to the unknown individual that he was yet to receive any letter asking him to relocate.
