Gov. Obaseki Boosted the Creative Industry in Edo State, Says Hon. Osunde

...Edo DJs Support Group for Obaseki Pledge to Electorally Mobilize Members 

The Executive Chairman of Oredo Local Government Area, Hon. Evbareke Jenkins Osunde recently told a group of musical performers and DJs in Benin-City that the state government has devoted immense 
attention and resources to boosting the creative industry.

Hon. Osunde was speaking when a group of Benin DJs paid a courtesy call on the Local Government Chairman as part of the activities by the entertainers to mark the 63rd birthday celebration of Governor 
Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki in the state capital. 

The Council Chairman remarked on the occasion that the Governor ‘’ has displayed a comprehensive understanding of the inestimable contributive factor of the creative industry both for general economic development and stabilizing the employment arena.’’ 

Continuing, Hon. Osunde noted that the Governor sees the entire creative sector of the economy as an avenue for the youths in particular to ‘’ exhibit their talents along with government support to boost 
employment prospects in the state


The LGA Executive Chairman expressed appreciation to the delegation for the presentation of a birthday 
commemorative T-Shirt for the Governor’s (July 1st) birthday and the declaration by the DJs to organize their members in support of the Governor’s second term.

Speaking earlier, the leader of the delegation, the famous MC DJ MOG said that stakeholders in the state’s entertainment industry were ‘’proud of the efforts of the Governor to boost creative sector which had 
been neglected by previous administrations.’’ DJ MOG said that a support group has been formed to 
use their network of entertainers to build support for the Governor in the coming election.

Shaibu, Edo Deputy Governor resumes work in his new office

The Deputy Governor of Edo State, Philip Shaibu, on Tuesday morning, officially resumed work in his new office at 7, Dennis Osadebey Avenue very close to Edo state government house. This was after noticing that his former office in government house have been locked up by security men attached to government house.  Recall that on Monday, Philip Shaibu claimed that he had not received any official communication for him to relocate to the new office, he also said it was only the civil savants attached to his office that was relocated.  He was seen standing  by the entrance to his former office, which was under lock. He was also seen making a call to an unknown individual, pleading to help him call the governor to know why his former office was locked. Shaibu was also complaining to the unknown individual that he was yet to receive any letter asking him to relocate.
