GOSG Congratulate Barr. Osariodion Ogie on his appointment as DG Edo State Campaign Council*

The Godwin Obaseki Shaibu Group (GOSG) a non-governmental and non-profit volunteer group committed to propagating the policies of the Godwin Obaseki led Administration in Edo state has congratulated  Barr. Osariodion Ogie, on his appointment as the Director-General (D-G) Edo State Campaign Council.

The forum, in a statement by its Director General, Henry imogiemhe Idogun, today in Benin, described the appointment as a right step in the right direction for the party.

Idogun expressed optimism that Barr. Ogie’s leadership would offer the needed capacity, competence and contacts towards achieving the collective resolve of the Edo people come September 19th.

According to him, “this noble state assignment, requires the leadership and coordination of a person with unquestionable character, unshakeable integrity, vast political experience and honest understanding of our diversity. These qualities are all encompassing in the personality of Barr. Osariodion Ogie. We, therefore, wish to enlist the support of the entire GOSG family for this state task’’

A Senior member of the group *Mr. Lambert Ugorji* further stated that the group is made up of technocrats from all walks of life, the political class, the press, social advocates, community organizations, religious bodies and ethnic groups with a wide spread across the 18 LGA.

In his words, “We wish inform the Director General of our willingness to collaborate in the following areas: Voters sensitization and mobilization, Electoral data analytics and reporting’’.

He further described Barr. Osariodion Ogie as the right man for the job.

Shaibu, Edo Deputy Governor resumes work in his new office

The Deputy Governor of Edo State, Philip Shaibu, on Tuesday morning, officially resumed work in his new office at 7, Dennis Osadebey Avenue very close to Edo state government house. This was after noticing that his former office in government house have been locked up by security men attached to government house.  Recall that on Monday, Philip Shaibu claimed that he had not received any official communication for him to relocate to the new office, he also said it was only the civil savants attached to his office that was relocated.  He was seen standing  by the entrance to his former office, which was under lock. He was also seen making a call to an unknown individual, pleading to help him call the governor to know why his former office was locked. Shaibu was also complaining to the unknown individual that he was yet to receive any letter asking him to relocate.
