Hon. Osunde Leads Mass APC Defection to PDP

Oredo PDP Ward 6: Agenda for 2ND Term Victory 

For those who witnessed the recent celebratory event of the mass defection of APC members to PDP in Oredo Ward 6, it was crystal clear that the organizational ground operation for the 2nd term victory of Governor Godwin Noghegase Obaseki will be unstoppable. 

The occasion was also organized to enhance political familiarity between the old and new members of the PDP. The atmosphere for the event was energetic with an uplifting display of enthusiasm among the former members of the APC and the PDP in show of unity for the Governor’s re-emergence. 

In a statement to the media during the occasion, the Executive Chairman of Oredo Local Government Area Hon. Evbareke Jenkins Osunde noted that PDP Ward 6 would stand distinguished in ensuring 
victory for the Governor. 

According to Hon. Osunde , ‘’ there’s now only one formidable and united political family in Oredo Ward 6, we shall redefine the essence of grassroots mobilization and voting for the September 19th election.’’ 

The LGA Chairman who hails from Oredo Ward 6 further declared that ‘’ the voters of the Ward were irreversibly committed to re-electing the Governor based on the outstanding socio-economic achievements that were recorded in the first term of the administration.’’ ‘’ There’s no alternative to 
progressive continuity ‘’ Hon. Osude reaffirmed. 

He commended the caliber of the political leaders who were leaving the APC for PDP stating that’’ the APC factor in the Ward has been consequently wiped out by the defection.’’

Notable persons who defected on the occasion included the Councilor representing the Ward, Hon. 
Martins Igbinigie as well as such distinguished leaders as Alhaji S. Lawal Otokiti , Hon. David Osifo, and 
Pa. Ramonu Lawani. A team of Senior Special Assistants ( SSAs) and Special Assistants ( SAs) to the 
Governor along with formidable group of party members also dumped the ‘’ scattered broom for the 
people’s Umbrella’’.

Shaibu, Edo Deputy Governor resumes work in his new office

The Deputy Governor of Edo State, Philip Shaibu, on Tuesday morning, officially resumed work in his new office at 7, Dennis Osadebey Avenue very close to Edo state government house. This was after noticing that his former office in government house have been locked up by security men attached to government house.  Recall that on Monday, Philip Shaibu claimed that he had not received any official communication for him to relocate to the new office, he also said it was only the civil savants attached to his office that was relocated.  He was seen standing  by the entrance to his former office, which was under lock. He was also seen making a call to an unknown individual, pleading to help him call the governor to know why his former office was locked. Shaibu was also complaining to the unknown individual that he was yet to receive any letter asking him to relocate.
