Edo State ALGON Mourns the Death of former Egor LGA Chairman
The Edo State Chapter of the Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON) has described the death of the former Chairman of Egor Council, Hon Victor Enobakhare, as a ‘’profoundly sad loss’’ to the people of the LGA and to the larger statewide organizations of persons who are keenly interested in progressive third-tier administration .
In a statement signed by the Chairman of ALGON, Hon. Evbareke Jenkins Osunde and all the Local Government Chairmen in the state, the late Egor Council boss was credited as a ‘’visionary who projected that local governance must have deep and intimate resonance with the daily aspirations of the people at the grassroots.’’
Hon. Victor Enobakhare who died on Monday at the age of 60 had variously served as Councilor before being elected Chairman of the LGA in 2013.
‘’ The former Council Chairman was well admired for his energetic interaction with his constituents in a way that engendered productive communication as envisaged in the best tradition of third-tier Democratic practice’’, ALGON further stated.
ALGON prayed that the family of the departed will find solace in the fact that Hon. Enobakhare lived a life of dedicated service to humanity adding that the former Chairman will be long remembered for his endearing leadership qualities.
