‘’2020 has been a year of unique challenges, but the birth and  victory of Christ on the cross must continuously serve as our unfailing inspiration’’


The Chairman of Oredo Local Government Area Hon. Evbareke Jenkins Osunde has described the miraculous birth of Jesus Christ as one of the most cherished epiphany in the Christian faith.

Hon. Osunde’s remark was contained in a Christmas message released to the media in Benin-City where he urged all faithful’’ to let the miraculous birth and the exemplary life of Christ inspire the guiding principles in their daily dealing with their fellow men and women.’’

The Council Chairman emphasized that the true test of Christianity must go beyond  mere proclamations,’’ rather he insisted that  the value of our faith must shine through in the positive way that our conduct impact the society.’’

Hon. Osunde observed that while the  year 2020 has presented very peculiar challenges at every level of community and individual lives as well as government, ‘’our faith and God’s grace as believers has equally sustained us to be celebrating the eve of a New Year.’’

The LGA Chairman urged Christians to also use the period of the celebrations for enhancement of their relationships with believers of other faiths to ensure a stronger and more cooperative Oredo community in the coming year.
